About Me
Amanda Olson, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Welcome, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a proud Silver Valley native. I’ve been working as a therapist in this community for over seven years, and I feel deeply honored to support the people who live and work here. I serve individuals ages 10 and up, with the belief that healing and growth are possible at any stage of life.
My approach is rooted in the belief that everyone is doing the best they can with what they have. With support and the right tools, the ability to do better becomes more accessible. Therapy is one of those tools—let’s see if it can be helpful to you.

I especially enjoy working with women and mothers, creating space to explore identity, stress, motherhood, relationships, and the many transitions life brings. Outside of my work, I’m a mom myself, and I know the challenges and beauty that this role brings to our lives.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll likely find me with podcast or audiobook queued up. I love being part of a book club and consider myself a lifelong-learner. I also enjoy attending local events such as Music in the Park and Wallace’s many festivals and events.

I’m trained in many modalities, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and more. Some of my favorites are:
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a therapy that helps people process and heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. EMDR is especially effective for PTSD, anxiety, and long-standing emotional blocks. EMDR is highly effective for first responders and helpers. My own EMDR experience is the whole reason I became a therapist.
- IFS (Internal Family Systems), a gentle, transformative model that helps you connect with and understand the different “parts” of yourself. IFS creates space for deep self-awareness and healing, especially for those struggling with inner conflict or unresolved pain. This modality has changed my worldview and I love sharing it with others.
- Brainspotting:
Brainspotting is a powerful, brain-based therapy that helps people process and release trauma, emotional pain, and stuck patterns. It works by identifying specific “brainspots”—eye positions that correlate with where unprocessed trauma is stored in the brain.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change and growth, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Please reach out if you think I might be a good match; I’m here to help.
